Tax and Lee Areas

Florida does not have a personal income tax, however we do have a intangible tax on investment income in the upper brackets.

Home owners who reside here six months or more may apply for homestead.  This decreases the taxable value of your home by $50,000.  Tax increases as a result the increasing value of your property are limited to 3% until your property is sold.

In Lee County our sales tax is 6%.
